I had another campus tour today. It was different being there now that I’ve committed. It made me really anxious to start college already. Not in a bad, nerve wracking way. It just seems so much more exciting than my second semester of my senior year of highschool.
Today’s visit was pretty short. There was a few presentations about the college of liberal arts and enrolling into classes. We also went to a questions and answers session with current students. My favorite part was the mock lecture. Mainly because it was taught by a professor in my major- speech language and hearing sciences. I felt like I should’ve been taking notes the entire time. Unfortunately, we decided to skip the campus tour. It was really cold and we had already been on a general Campus tour before.
All of the students that spoke on their study abroad experiences said they were their best experiences in university. I’m trying to figure out when I want to go. If I went this summer, through my university, I would have to do a home stay. I don’t know how comfortable I am with that. Something to contemplate.
I talked with a professor who takes a class backpacking through Spain in May. That’d be fun, right? She seemed really nice and passionate about her job too. That makes a huge difference
I’m thinking about starting to write my posts in Spanish as well. Not that I’m really fluent enough to do so, but I think it would be good practice. Maybe I’ll start with just summaries; we shall see.
Hopefully my next post will be more informative and not just me thinking out loud about college and whatnot. Till next time
