An Introduction

So this side project was definitely neglected for a bit. Oops.

A few months ago I had a “what the heck this only happens in movies” situation. It was overwhelming, hard, and something I’d never ben through before. Anyways, I’ve really relied on journalling to help me make sense of it all. But that’s a whole other conversation. What matters for now is that it has reminded me how much I like to write.

That brings us to what I’m going to do with this blog. Part of the reason I abandoned it was because I had no idea what to write about. Every topic seemed over saturated. But I’ve got an idea now!

This year I am a senior in high school. Transitioning to college is complicated and scary and overwhelming, but also exciting. I guess you could say that this will be a constructive, organized, censored diary for all things college related. I’m also finding that there’s not a whole lot of bloggers writing about my intended major- communication and science disorders (in common talk, speech pathology, even simpler put, speech therapy). Hopefully this helps fill that gap.

To start I’ll let you in on where I’m at in my college application process. I’ve applied to two schools. I’ve been accepted to one, but haven’t yet heard back from the other. While being accepted into one school eases my anxiety, I’m still impatient waiting for a response.

I’ve started investigating scholarships. The essay writing never stops man. It can be discouraging to think about how much college is and how competitive  scholarships can be, but it is what it is.

We can talk about this all in more detail later. Until then, smile and breathe and be productive.
